On this hike from Otterton in Devon we follow the River Otter where we can see the signs from the Beaver’s that live on the river. We then ascend onto Mutter’s Moor an area of heathland. From here we walk to the South West Coast path which we follow to Otter Estuary Nature Reserve. On the way we will see the stunning coast and visit the Iron Age hillfort on High Peak. We finish by following the River Otter with more chances to see the Beaver signs before arriving back to Otterton where there are pubs and cafes for refreshment.

Dartmoor Hiking

This hike takes in various points on Dartmoor. Starting near Venford reservoir we visit several Tors before dropping to the River Dart. We then follow the River Dart where we have the chance to see the wildlife on this beautiful river. We finish back at the reservoir.

Dartmoor Tors and Mining History

On this hike we take in some of the infamous granite Tors. We hike into the moor where we can imagine the conditions for the miners that worked on the moor when we visit one of the old mine workings. On the return route we will visit ancient granite crosses and get to view the farmsteads and field systems that were used thousands of years ago.
